War Caves

These cave photos are taken at two different sites, a day's ride away from each other. One set was used as the headquarters of the Pathet Laos Army, fighting with the Vietnamese against the Americans, the other cave set was used by a local provincial government and the Laos National Bank.

Inside the Laos National Bank

This is the entrance to the hospital. An American missle helicopter is said to have hovered outside of the cave killed over 200 people. That being said, right beside the hospital is the government headquarters...

The one set were quite elaborate. They included meeting halls, divided rooms, large theater and emergency air supplies and were well protected with anti-aircraft artillery.
