Day Three: In the heart of it, or at least getting closer

Get up in the morning get on the bus!

These are in reverse order. This is our first tuk-tuk ride.

The rain has let up but the leftovers stay awhile. Even the sidewalks were flooded. We opted to fiord the city river thai style...via tuk-tuk.

Maura bravely hailed the tuk tuk, negotiated a price and had the driver move over to pick up her prince charming...

Take me to the river. Wash me down.

A picture paints a thousand words.

Let it rain!

Now THIS is rain!

Greeting the god within each...

Mark T. asked us to keep an eye out for what it is like to travel with kids over there. Dad and stroller with tot in tow. He had the tot (about 4 years old) watch over the kid in the stroller while he stepped into the hotel to go the bathroom. Speaks to the level of trust and safety in a town of 12 million people. Cool eh? Mark, I think you'll be OK.

Temple of the Dawn.

Back on the bus!

These guys move! Some of them are turbo-charged with blowers.
